Leipzig, 13.07.2021 (PresseBox) - Rhebo, a Landis+Gyr company and one of Europe's leading provider of industrial security monitoring, has officially received the label »Cybersecurity Made In Europe« from the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO).
Launched in early 2021, the label is awarded to European companies providing trustworthy cybersecurity products and services. Rhebo's products and services protect industrial automated networks (operational technology, “OT”) as well as devices in critical IoT networks against cyberattacks and technical error conditions. The portfolio supports customers in the critical infrastructure sector to implement OT security requirements defined by national IT security laws as well as security standards such as ISO 27000 and IEC 62443. Rhebo's core product, Rhebo Industrial Protector, is an OT monitoring solution with anomaly detection. The solution detects any anomalies in OT communications and reports them in real-time to the control room or Security Operation Center (SOC).Ultimately, security managers of critical infrastructures are enabled to create visibility in their OT and can respond early to suspicious events such as cyberattacks or unauthorized intrusions.
»Many of our customers operate in the area of critical infrastructures,« said Kristin Preßler, Managing Director at Rhebo, emphasizing the relevance of the awarded cybersecurity label. »In our field of expertise, especially, trust in the deployed technology must leave no room for doubt. And we are proud to say that we have always focused uncompromisingly on the security of our products. The award of the ECSO label is a confirmation of our strategy.«
As a recipient of the label, Rhebo follows the strict requirements for data protection in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data security in accordance with the guidelines set by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). Among other things, the criteria also include a declaration to exclude spying practices. Rhebo’s customers can thus be assured that the industrial cybersecurity and stability products contain no backdoors and are designed to be secure all around. The requirements are met for both the OT network monitoring with anomaly detection (Rhebo Industrial Protector) and the security system for critical IoT devices (Rhebo IoT Device Protection).
In Germany, the »Cybersecurity Made In Europe« label is awarded by eurobits e. V., the European Competence Center for Security in Information Technology (https://www.eurobits.de/ecso-label-cybersecurity-made-in-europe/).
